GENERAL INFORMATION
WHAT IS THE MAHALO ‘OHANA PROGRAM?
The MC&A Mahalo ‘Ohana Program allows you to participate in an MC&A sponsored Family and or Guest activity currently offered within the MC&A Activity Tariff (Note: All activities outlined in our tariff is subject to change without notice)
- Two (2) sponsored activities will be redeemable based on the following timeline: Period One (1) between January – June, and Period 2 between July and December of the calendar year.
- Each activity will be available to accommodate up to max five (5) direct family members or up to four (4) non-related guests, including the employee.
- Employee must be present in both direct family of non-related family scenarios.
- Each sponsored activity must be consumed within the timeline as described in section 1. above and cannot be rolled over to the following period or combined if not consumed in first period.
- There is no cash value associated with this offering.
- If additional direct family members are requested, employee will be responsible for the cost beyond five (5) pax, or for up to a maximum of eight (8) family members.
- No additional non-family guests will be permitted beyond the four (4) allowed. However, direct family members can make up the difference including the employee to total eight (8) pax.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Must be currently employed a minimum of six (6) months from date of hire, employed on a full-time basis , and be full-time at the time of activity with MC&A or Island Partners Hawai’i.
- Only MC&A or Island Partners Hawai’i employees can apply for a Sponsored Activities.
- Sponsored Activity requests are not transferable between eligible employees.
WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN I CHOOSE?
Sponsored Activity Selection
- Employees may choose from any current activity offered within MC&A’s Hawai’i’s current tariff as notated on this website.
- Activities offered at 50% discount off MC&A tariff rate (available only once per year):
- Helicopter tours – MC&A Hawai’i will sponsor up to 50% of the current MC&A tariff cost. Employee will be responsible for the balance at the MC&A tariff rate plus any applicable gratuities.
- Deep Sea Fishing – MC&A will sponsor up to 50% of the MC&A tariff charter rate (maximum 6pax per charter. Employee will be responsible for the remaining balance plus any applicable gratuities.
- All offerings are not guaranteed and based on seasonal demand.
- All availability is subject to change and subject to the operator’s availability discretion.
HOW DO I BOOK MY ACTIVITIES?
Booking
- Requests must be made by employee directly to the employee’s department manager and pre-approved prior to submitting on this website.
- Booking requests will be space permitting.
- Confirmation will be expected within seven (7) business days.
- Upon confirmation, if any additional fees are due, these fees must be paid in advance by the employee using check or credit card. No cash will be accepted.
Tipping / Gratuities
- Employees will be responsible for all tips and gratuities for services rendered where applicable.
- It will be the responsibility of the employee to identify the required or customary amounts if applicable.
Cancellations
- Employee must notify the activity vendor of cancellation within required cancellation timeline otherwise; employee will be responsible for any cancellation fees incurred.
- Upon cancellation, employee must notify the Executive Services Coordinator of date and time and must provide any documentation or details confirming the cancellation immediately upon receipt.
- If the cancellation is the result of the vendor/supplier or beyond the employees’ control, the employee will be entitled to rebook or reschedule another activity even if rebooking rolls into Period 2.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO AFTER THE ACTIVITY?
Employee will be responsible for providing a debrief of their event/activity experience due within one week of the experience.
- Debrief should include:
- Overall experience
- Professionalism of staff, service standards
- Quality of equipment, facilities, safety
- Quality of food & beverage if any
- Improvement opportunities
- Staffing call outs
- Debriefs will be shared internally and with the respective event/activities partner(s)

Employee Responsibilities
- As an employee and representative of MC&A or Island Partners Hawai’i, it is expected that the employee must conduct themselves in a professional manner prior, during and after the event/activity.
- No exceptions… the employee will also be responsible for the conduct and behavior of all family members and guests throughout the event/activity
- Activity benefit cannot be resold or be used for barter.
- Failure to meet and of the above minimum and professional standards as an employee of MC&A and Island Partners Hawai’i will be addressed and may result in disciplinary action, not limited to loss of this benefit, suspension, or termination.
